Antony Attridge and Kristina Hood, otherwise known as creative powerhouse Sensible Antixx, have today announced the official launch of their freshly-minted independent record label.

Fittingly dubbed Sensible Antixx Records, the label is built on the values of authenticity, artistic freedom, and next-level innovation, and emerges from a desire to ultimately reshape the landscape of modern music.

Describing it as more of a movement than a label, Sensible Antixx Records arrives with a firm vision and a dedication to ensuring that unique voices are given a well-deserved platform. It's not just about providing an outlet, but offering a home, tools, and support for artists to share their own truths on their own terms.

"This isn’t just about dropping tracks,” says Attridge. “It’s about creating a home where artists can be raw, real, and unapologetically themselves. Music is evolving, and this label is our way of owning that shift and leading it.”

Sensible Antixx have become known for their stellar live shows and admirable ethos of pushing boundaries at every turn over the past decade. Setting themselves apart in the underground scene of independent promoters, events such as Sensible Soirees and Any Rhythm Sunday have shown their commitment to the cause.

In 2023, hip hop documentary Burn Gently was released, and offered an immersive look at the genre’s growth and impact within Australia over the past decades. Critically acclaimed, it found itself shown at various events and locations around the country, including the most recent edition of Splendour In The Grass in 2023.

“After working in the creative arts for over 9 years we've done tiny intimate gigs, massive ones like Splendour and the NGV, touring the country with our doco, it's been one WILD ride,” they wrote said on social media.

“And now it's time to take the next step. We're beyond excited to announce we're now a fully independent record label! Born from a desire to reshape the landscape of modern music, by putting the artist first and championing the wildly creative people we know and love.”

Sensible Antixx Records aims to share its artist roster in the coming weeks, noting a focus on diverse, cross-disciplinary talent, which ranges from “spoken word innovators to experimental producers and genre-fluid vocalists and artists.”
