Young Mackay musician Billy Vincent is well on track to be one of Australia’s next big country exports, with the 21-year-old announcing his signing to Chugg Music for management amid shoutouts from superstars Bailey Zimmerman, Luke Combs, and more.
Having been writing music for a number of years now, and having been sharing myriad live renditions via his YouTube account, Vincent made his official debut in August with the song History, following it up just months later in November with Creep.
A former player for Mackay’s Souths Sharks team, Vincent himself noted a desire to chase his musical dreams at the start of 2025, abandoning any sporting desires in favour of sharing his talent. “I got this fire in my soul to do something I had never done, to test my limits and share my talent with the world,” he wrote on his website.
Just after Christmas, Vincent took to social media to share more of this talent – a recording of his latest track, an original tune dubbed Fly Away. The reaction from his fanbase was swift, with many lauding his abilities, and others comparing his impressive vocals to that of late rockers Chris Cornell and Layne Staley.
On TikTok, the song garnered a massive response, with the video upload currently sitting at over two million views.

It wasn’t just his Vincent’s fanbase that responded, with the likes of Noah Kahan liking the video, and US musicians such as Bailey Zimmerman, Noah James, and Luke Combs commenting on the track to share their thoughts on the rising musician’s original.
“BRO OH MY GOSH,” wrote Zimmerman. “My man, do you have any idea how good this is?!?!” echoed Combs, who reposted it via his own channel. “Well done.”
Now, Vincent has announced his signing to Chugg Music for management.
“It has been incredible to see the reaction to Billy's videos over the past few weeks as he captures the attention of Australian and international audiences, including support from Luke Combs and Bailey Zimmerman,” said Michael Chugg in a statement.
“It's great to see young artists coming through & creating such interesting & original music. Chugg Music are excited to be working with Billy as he embarks on building what will no doubt be a world-class career.”
As part of his signing, Vincent will be managed by the Chugg Music team including Maddie Green and CEO & Cofounder Andrew Stone.
Per Vincent’s own website, it seems as though this signing with Chugg Music will simply be another step in the impressive musical journey he’s found himself on.
“I’m on a path that won’t easily be stopped,” he wrote. “I’m loving every second of this journey and your support means so much to me, I hope to see you at the finish line.”
