Warrnambool-born musician Flynn Gurry has undoubtedly hit new heights in his career this week, with the folk-inspired blues and roots musician announcing a special signing with ABC Music.

Rising to fame for his exceptional performances as a busker, and even serving as a finalist in the National Busking Championships, Gurry began sharing his original music with the world in 2021, swiftly making a name for himself as an exceptional musician in the process.

Influenced by names such as John Butler, Gurry's rising profile has since seem him added to the lineup of festivals such as the Queenscliff Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Nightjar, and the National Blues Festival, with support slots for names like Cold Chisel’s Ian Moss, Goanna's Shane Howard, and even King Stingray also peppering the resumé.

With acclaimed shows and a rabid reception taking place over in Europe as well, Gurry is preparing to take the next step in his original music journey soon, with tracks like home without you, love can be, and endless feeling all released in 2024.

In fact, his 2024 releases and momentum were so well respected that he was even added as the triple j Unearthed winner to triple j’s One Night Stand festival last year, with the hometown hero representing Warrnambool in a big way,

Now, his next release will be unveiled by ABC Music, with Gurry this week announcing his signing to the label.

“Flynn Gurry is an exceptional talent whose artistry resonates with the soul,” explained ABC Music Head Natalie Waller. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to the ABC Music family and can’t wait for the world to experience the magic he’s about to create.”

Currently, there’s no word as to when Gurry will unveil his next release, though with the musician currently busy supporting the Pierce Brothers on their The Night Tree ten-year anniversary tour, you can be sure the wait won’t be too arduous.
