Dan Rosen, the President of Warner Music Group Australasia, has achieved an epic new milestone.
Taking to LinkedIn yesterday (14 November), Rosen shared a photo of himself donning a traditional cap and gown to make a special announcement: he’s received a Fellowship from Monash University for his services to the Australian creative industries and the arts.
Fellowships have been handed out to Monash alums (and Honorary Fellowships for non-alumni) for over a decade. A prestigious honour, Rosen was the only music industry figure to receive a Fellowship at this year’s ceremony.
On the Monash University website, Rosen was noted as a “lawyer, policy advisor, musician and a key advocate for innovation and the creative industries.” He was also described as a “passionate voice for creative industries both at home and abroad.”
Rosen said of being honoured with the Fellowship on LinkedIn: “I took a trip down memory lane last night when I returned to Monash University to receive a University Fellowship for services to the Australian creative industries and the arts.”
He continued, “A huge thank you to Chancellor Dr. Megan Clark AC and Vice-Chancellor Sharon Pickering for the honour.

In recent news regarding Rosen, the music industry professional recently spoke highly of Australian country music artist Sara Berki, who signed with Warner Music Australia in October.
When she signed up with Warner, Berki said, “I am incredibly excited to be working with the Warner Music team to take my music to the world.
“From the very first meeting through to all the creative discussions we’ve had over the last few months, I have felt completely supported every step of the way. It truly feels like a family, and I am beyond grateful that they believe in me and my music.”
Rosen added, “We are so excited to welcome Sara Berki into the Warner Music Australia family. Like so many around the country, Sara’s captivating voice and magnetic stage presence captured our attention from the start. We can’t wait to work with Sara and take her music to a growing fan base both at home and around the world.”
