BIGSOUND has expanded once more, today announcing its final speaker announcement ahead of its multi-day September 2025 conference and music festival.

The final round of exciting names features industry professionals from Australia and abroad. International stars include Rene Contreras (Goldenvoice), the curator of the Sonora Tent at Coachella, and Andy Clayton, the Head of Talent and Touring for Creation Collective.

They join Australian music industry heavyweights, including influential broadcaster Richard Kingsmill, Laneway Festival Director Jessie Parker, and Nat Waller, who boasts impressive credentials such as Head of ABC Music, ARIA Chair, and CMA Board Member.

Australian music is further represented throughout the BIGSOUND conference programming. The opening discussion on Tuesday (2 September), First Word: One Brilliant Thing, stars a powerful panel of UNIFIED Music Group Founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford, Vinyl Music Group CEO Josh Simons, and ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd.

BIGSOUND will also help celebrate the 50th anniversary of triple j with a dedicated panel, while Australian DJ and producer Nina Las Vegas is celebrating an anniversary of her own: ten years of her record label, NLV Records.

The full BIGSOUND conference schedule and delegate portal will be available for access this Wednesday, 23 July, at 9:00 a.m. local time. The event’s discounted second ticket release offer ends on Tuesday, 5 August. To find out more about this year’s program and tickets, head to the BIGSOUND website.

“From the outset, we’ve sought to create a program of a truly international standard whilst being relevant and connected to the Australian music ecosystem. We believe 2025 is set to be a year of fantastic outcomes for BIGSOUND attendees.”

Queensland Minister for the Arts John-Paul Langbroek added, “The BIGSOUND conference has built an international reputation for connecting artists to new networks and markets and promoting the state’s contemporary live music industry.

“This year’s BIGSOUND program offers industry stakeholders the opportunity to explore key issues with local and international music experts and influence the future of live music in Queensland and beyond. We’re proud to support QMusic and BIGSOUND to build markets, audiences and career development opportunities for Queensland artists and boost the state’s profile as a vibrant live music destination.”
