After their last sold out co-headline tour with Pennywise two years ago Millencolin figured it was time to bring back something really special for their Australian fans. And special it will be indeed – this upcoming December the band will return for three exclusive Good Things festival shows and two headlining side shows where they will perform their classic album Pennybridge Pioneers from start to finish. From the iconic and blistering opening with No Cigar to the last note of The Ballad this will indeed be something for every fan of Millencolin to remember and definitely not to miss.

Pennybridge Pioneers was the first Millencolin album to reach gold status in Australia in 2001 and this is the first time Millencolin will perform the album in its full since the 10 year anniversary world tour back in 2010. The album was recorded in Hollywood, USA 1999 and produced by the Bad religion guitarist and Epitaph Record owner Brett Gurewitz.

The title of the album refers to the bands home town Örebro in Sweden. Öre-Bro is translated Penny-Bridge in English. Millencolin is the first international band from their hometown, hence the pioneers part. Looking at the bands love for and relationship over the years with their Australian fans they couldn’t have picked a more suited title on the album.

“We’re super excited to come back to Australia and to one of our favourite festivals in the World and a couple of side shows to go. The album was actually released for the Australian market first – a couple of weeks before the rest of the world. We also started the whole tour on Pennybridge Pioneers down under as well, so the album definitely got a special connection to Australia. It’s also really nice to escape the frozen Pennybridge streets and roaming polarbears in the Swedish December"
