VIDEO PREMIERE: Watch Augie March's Aching & Beautiful Video For 'When I Am Old'

Now just a week out from the release of their highly-anticipated sixth studio album, Bootikins, Augie March have revealed the stunning music video for the LP's second single, When I Am Old, premiering right here today on theMusic.com.au.

Featuring actor Jack Charles (The Chant Of Jimmy Blacksmith, Pan), the Sunny Leunig directed-clip is, as frontman Glenn Richards describes, "a suitably aching and beautiful vision".

"'Though I look old, yet I am strong and lusty' which is as I would like it," Richards said.

"Sadly there are many down sides to ageing to which wisdom and viagra are but temporary barricades to an onslaught as assured as Death’s arrival, which, clippity clop, whirring scythe and ragged flapping robe, is close by always and breathes heavy as the sand in the cup more empty slips, rapid ashes, down the dark funnel of dementia.  

"So, fools, 'Play on; Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken, and so die. That strain again!'" 

Bootikins is due out on 23 February via Caroline Music/UMA; Augie March will play a show in Thornbury the same night, followed by an appearance at the inaugural Good Saturday festival in March.
