The narrative clip is Rihanna-esque in its brutally vengeful, yet beautifully empowered, nature. Featuring dark themes of infidelity, abuse and all the power inequalities that can riddle relationships, Lorde turns every old trope on its head with a huge, visually stunning and politically on-point twist at the end.
