Ordinary World - a drama/comedy film about a middle-aged former punk musician, struggling with the idea of growing up, having a family and having to forfeit the punk rock lifestyle of his youth, starring Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. I'm really unsure how I feel about this. The film features some talented names in Selma Blair, Judy Greer, Chris Messina and Fred Armison, but it's Armstrong as the star of the show that has me kinda worried - even if his acting looks solid enough in the trailer. The Green Day vocalist also wrote all of the music for the film, so the soundtrack should be a great listen at the very least. If you're keen to see how the punk frontman bodes in his silver screen debut, you can catch Ordinary World in cinemas from October 14.
In other Billie Joe Armstrong related news - his band Green Day are making good music again! They've released a couple of tunes from their forthcoming record, Revolution Radio, and early signs are that it'll be the best and punkiest album they've released in years. Revolution Radio drops on October 7.
