More Winterbourne More Winterbourne

Central Coast duo Winterbourne stormed into 2019 with the release of a brand new track Take The Golden. They return today with a live video of the tune, shot by talented videographer Jarrad Seng, and we here at theMusic.com.au have the exclusive premiere.

"We’ve never written a song like Take The Golden before, there are so many little parts and pieces that fit together to make the track what it is," the band said of the experience.

"We love playing it live, because it forces us to break down all of those little ingredients and perfect them in real time, which is a lot of fun to do.

"We were extremely lucky to have two of the most talented people we know working behind the scenes for this video. Jackson Barclay (the engineer for our album) was behind the desk making things sound good and keeping us all on the right track. Neither of those things are easy to do, and he nailed it. Classic Jacko."

Seng is an Australian-based photographer, filmmaker, creative director who has previously worked with the likes of Passenger, Matt Corby, Ed Sheeran and Matchbox Twenty.

Winterbourne said he was "probably the best photographer and videographer [they've] ever worked with".

"He’s got this crazy ability to constantly find shots that look world class, even when faced with a pretty condensed room and a pretty condensed amount of time. He’s one of those guys who we can completely trust to do a great job, which makes our job so much more simple," they explained.

"We thought it was extremely important to get some live videos out there for this record. We love playing live, but there really isn’t a great deal of live Winterbourne content out there. Videos of bands in nice rooms with good sound are one of our favourite ways to get a sense of what a band is all about, so we wanted to make some of our own - particularly now that we have a whole bunch of songs that we’re proud of and excited about."

If you too want to get a sense of what Winterbourne are all about, you're in luck, as the band head out on tour from 4 April. Scroll down to theGuide for a look at all the dates and to buy tickets.
