"We’ve been allowed to chase a teenage dream."

Brisbane indie rock trio Mecha Mecha burst back onto the scene with new single Greedy Boys and an accompanying video.

They’ve been honing their craft as of late, both on the stage and in the studio, and their latest effort is a “damning takedown of man-children across the world”, driven by violin and catchy melodies.

“The song is highlighting the extended childhood the members of this band feel we have been given. Both in the support from our family and friends to pursue our music dreams, but also sort of culturally we’ve been allowed to chase a teenage dream,” Mecha Mecha told The Music

“The film clip depicts us progressively improving our craft subtly, on the farm the brothers in the band grew up on. The live element of the film clip was filmed at a small festival we hosted in the hills of Nimbin, on the property we grew up on. The whole thing was shot in reverse chronological order!”

Check out the new song and clip above before its official release tomorrow.

Mecha Mecha will give Greedy Boys a hometown launch next month; check out theGuide for all the details.
