Sydney indie rockers Inklines were quick to find their groove, as evident by the first song they ever played together, Elusion.
The band are today releasing the punch rock number as their second single, with an accompanying clip The Music has the pleasure of premiering.
“We always felt pretty good about it as a song, and once it was recorded it really stood out as an obvious choice for a single,” Inklines told The Music.
“Working through the creative process for the video with Matty Paxton and Vicente Schmitt, we had planned to use a lot of colour and vivid imagery, and we drew inspiration from various music videos such as Jeff Buckley’s Last Goodbye, which gave us the idea to use projected images.
"The song is about the feeling when you do something so many times - fights, drama, breakups – that you almost become numb or desensitized to it at times. When normal emotions and thoughts seem to elude you."
Elusion is just one of 13 songs the band recorded with producer Lachy West at Hercules St Studios in Surry Hills.
