Hot Water Music are unveiling the music video for Much Love, the album closer from their latest full-length, VOWS.
The worldwide premiere of the clip arrives as the Florida punk-rock band prepare to return to Australia after fourteen long years.
Bassist Jason Black said of the long-awaited tour: “WE COULD NOT BE MORE STOKED to get back to Australia and New Zealand! Sorry for the all caps, but it’s been 14 years since we’ve done any proper club shows down there, so we’re really excited. We promise it won't be so long between this run and the next one.”
Much Love (featuring Aimee Interrupter and Kevin Bivona of the ska-punk act The Interrupters) is a love letter to Hot Water Music’s devoted fans, the people involved in putting on their shows, and those who have helped keep the band afloat.
The music video, celebrating over 30 years of Hot Water Music, finds the band and their friends recording in the studio, live shows, and archival photos and video footage. It highlights the emotions of the group looking back and taking stock of an incredible career.

Hot Water Music vocalist and guitarist Chuck Ragan said of the video: “Much Love felt crucial to write something like that which just paid homage to everyone who has supported the band over the years.
“Those people have equally sacrificed spending time, money and energy because they believed in the band and being a part of this family. That’s how we’ve always looked at it.”
Black added, “Hot Water Music is, as much as anything, a family. Built not just by the 5 of us in the band, but by our families, friends, anyone who has worked on a tour or record, THE FANS. All of these people who have touched our lives and helped us along the way are responsible for building this. Much Love is about and for all of them.”

A 12-song emotional journey, VOWS finds Hot Water Music teaming up with their friends, including Thrice, City And Colour, Calling Hours, The Interrupters, and Brendan Yates and Daniel Fang from Turnstile. The results? Powerful, cathartic, fist-pumping punk rock from a band that hasn’t missed a step in their 30-year career.
Hot Water Music will tour Australia and New Zealand next month with special guests The Flatliners (Australia only). You can find remaining tickets via the SBM Presents website.
