VIDEO PREMIERE: Golden Age Of Ballooning - So They Say

It's no secret that we're pretty big fans of Brisbane's Golden Age Of Ballooning 'round these parts.

Having premiered the video for the psych-folk-rock ensemble's previous single, Love & War, earlier this year, it's also pretty safe to say that we here at The Music are stoked to be debuting their next piece of visual accompaniment for their newest sublime sonic offering, stepping out today with new single and clip So They Say.

A sense of enchantment and enigma hangs over the band's new clip, which features dancers Kristian Santic and Stephanie Pokoj engaging in some largely anonymous but inescapably evocative choreography amid the stark whites, greys and occasional wooden browns of their warehouse surrounds.

With the dancers' faces obscured, the pair moves with grace and power around the space as the band play along in the background, ultimately finding each other and revealing their true faces despite the obstructions and travails, both environmental and personal, with which they are faced at the outset.

The clip was created with the assistance of the crew at Spilting Films; it was conceived and directed by Bradley Murnane, with cinematography from Will Edmunds and gaffing from William Robb.

Golden Age Of Ballooning are presently in the throes of the biggest tour of the east coast and Tasmania of their career so far, which unofficially kicked off earlier this month at Brisbane's Deadlam Festival and got under way with the band's first headline show at The Bearded Lady a couple of weeks back.

They're on the road all next month, though, restarting the machine at The Zoo in support of Dungen early next month, heading on to shows in Melbourne, Werribee, Launceston (with British India), Sydney and back home to Brissy.
