Sydney-born, Greece-based musician Dean Manning of Leonardo’s Bride fame has given fans the first taste of his forthcoming LP via new single Be My Friend.
Its accompanying video, premiering today via The Music, was directed by Emma Fletcher.
"Be My Friend started out as a 3/4 sea shanty but a few days before recording I flipped it around,” Manning said.
“Emma had the idea of these virginal religious characters morphing into sequined sugar babies. She asked Atticus and Lola around. We rehearsed it a few times and shot it in one take.”
Manning will release a second single from Sunday Mountain in late June before the full album drops on July 26 via his own label, Cloudy But Fine.
