Scottish-born Colin Lillie has shared his dark and moody 'Sacred Sound' track and video right here
Alice Springs-based raconteur Colin Lillie has shared his band new video Sacred Sound today.
The Scottish-born singer stars as a brooding storyteller in the darkened pub corner, wistfully divulging his cautionary tale.
“In a modern world where I can get hung up on the lack of likes and listens or the insecurities of others Sacred Sound reminds me that I am not alone,” Lillie says of the tune.
“In some ways, it’s a song that reminds me I am a seeker of my truth - and by remembering the songs, the tales of my past, I have learned to listen for my muse which pushes my story on and on, no matter how arduous the task ahead. I do this in the hope I may leave something behind for those who dare to follow”
The film clip, filmed across the lush, natural landscape of Queensland, utilised the help of Rare Squid productions to hep bring Lillie’s music to life.
“Director Paddy Long and cameraman Joshua Willson’s imaginings show a solitary figure trudging over a sprawling rocky terrain, where he drags a gnarled, rustic coffin with its contents unknown. The figure struggles and occasionally falters in his arduous task but keeps pushing on to reach his goal."
