Emily WurramaraWhat's news? I've just released a single, Ngarrukwujenama, and am going to be releasing an album this year! As well as performing at the Commonwealth Games and Garma.
What should punters expect from your set? This year I've explored more genres and sounds with instrumentation, you can expect a full band, a full sound and some new Island vibes.
Is Sunset20°N your first visit to Barangaroo? Yes! I've never heard of it before but I love exploring our beautiful country.
Are you excited to be playing Gadigal Country's beautiful new live music site? I'm so stoked and so grateful to share the stage with such beautiful queens.
Have any of the other on-site activities caught your eye? I'm a person that likes to try a bit of everything so I'm looking forward to everything the festival has to offer and will try my best to do everything [laughs]. Especially the food.
The event has promised '12 spectacular sunsets' - have you got a favourite sunset memory? Or are you on team sunrise? My favourite sunset memory was when I was 12 and me and my cousins ran away to the other side of Groote Eylandt. All we had was damper, two bottles of water and a jar of Nutella and we watched the sunset in silence and awe. It was a beautiful moment
