"I'm excited about getting some hips swaying to it live soon."
The new single from Patches Paradise, the indie-electronic solo project of Sydney based composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie White, was written “in a reflective headspace, fueled a bit by nostalgia for a simpler time”.
Premiering today via The Music, Runaway is the second single from Patches Paradise, following on from debut track Fever in 2018.
"I felt myself falling into some self-doubt and uncertainty about the future as the gravity of some big life decisions took centre stage (as I think many people may have found last year),” White said.
“Runway is a really simple song in nature and ultimately it's optimistic, reflecting on what we cherish about our past and our humanity and sticking our neck out to create a bright future. It's a fresh start for PatchesParadise and it feels like a fitting new release for this project. I'm excited about getting some hips swaying to it live soon."
