The former Qld artist is aiming high out the gate, and hits his mark with aplomb.
Emergent Queensland-bred, Melbourne-based rapper Olive Amun unveils his debut single, Drink, today, and he's managed to conscript some pretty impressive talent to assist with bringing it to life.
Featuring the talents of Florida prodigy Chester Watson, Drink was produced by YouTube producer C'Mar, with mixing and mastering by Vince Cheng (Charlie Threads, Jai Waetford, Allday). Not too shabby for a young up-and-comer who recorded the track's demo on "subpar" Xbox headphones in his car and came across C'Mar while "scabbing WiFi" at a Queensland library.
Along with releasing his debut, Amun's profile is continuing to rise through collabs such as his feature on Ivan Ooze's Social Alien 2 release.
With more news in the pipeline in the coming weeks, expect to hear a lot more about Olive Amun as we move towards 2018 and the former Queenslander makes his mark on Melbourne's bountiful hip hop scene.
