SINGLE PREMIERE: Mardi Wilson - 'Runaway'

"This song is about being vulnerable, opening your heart to people, and growing from knowing them."

More Mardi Wilson Mardi Wilson

Not officially released into the world until April 3, The Music has the premiere of Mardi Wilson's new song, Runaway.

The Brisbane-based alternative folk musician recorded the song at Blind Boy Studios with producer Brad Hosking. They shared instrument duties with Wilson covering percussion, drums and some guitar and Hosking adding in beats, guitar solos and backing vocals.

"I wrote Runaway about when you meet a person and immediately feel that they will have some kind of impact on your life," Wilson told The Music.

"Whether the person is there to stay or just passing through - this song is about being vulnerable, opening your heart to people, and growing from knowing them."

Runaway follows songs she released last year, including Don't Stop and Astronaut.

Check it out about ahead of its release next month.
