"I definitely called my own bluff in that situation. I remember I wrote the first line of the first verse and the rest just kinda flowed."
Queensland artist GEORGIAXBYRNE has shared brand new music today in the form of the new single, Bluff, premiering exclusively with The Music.
This is the second single of the year since the singer made waves with her song Better Man, which has already garnered over 25,000 plays on Spotify.
The Cairns alt-pop performer, known simply as Georgia Byrne offstage, said the track is an intimate deep-dive into her own emotions following the breakdown of a recent relationship.
"I wrote Bluff purely off of personal experiences," Byrne explained.
"Every single lyric in the song replicated an exact event or emotion I experienced and I think the word Bluff summed up that relationship so perfectly."
She added, “I was fresh out of a relationship and I distinctively remember thinking 'I’ll be fine, I can move on from this really quickly...' I definitely called my own bluff in that situation. I remember I wrote the first line of the first verse and the rest just kinda flowed.”
