Single title? Mountain
What's the song about? A bit of a Jekyll & Hyde vibe going on in this song. Seeing through manipulation and thoughts of grandeur.
How long did it take to write/record? Initially this track was a b-side, but had a good response when performed live, so we took time to tweak it. 16 months to be precise. Getting that right balance of fuzz takes time.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? We are currently working on a new album, and the material is similar in vibe to Mountain, but not sure whether it will have its place when the new stuff is finished.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? I had been listening to a lot of Suicide at the time, as well as Follakzoid. Finding that right balance between a good riff and repetition was the key.
We'll like this song if we like... Otherworldly vocals, fuzz pedals, driving drums, buzzing synths and 60s keys - all tied together with reverb.
Do you play it differently live? Almost all our songs are performed differently live. Usually things get a lot more trippy in the breakdown, and a lot louder at the end.
When and where is your launch/next gig? Wintersteady on 23 Jul at Crown & Anchor, organised by those legends at Going Steady Music. Cant wait to see Flyying Colours, The Dandelion and Demon Parade again!
