Single title? Soldiers

What’s the song about? Based on the story of a group of environmentalists in the US that protested against logging of old growth forests.

How long did it take to write/record? It was the first song written for our next album and the first track we recorded as we knew it was quite strong and would have a chance of becoming the first single.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It is the first single lifted from our upcoming third
studio album due for release early next year.

What was inspiring you during the song’s writing and recording? Musically we wanted to go for a slightly more aggressive and raw sound and come up with some very hooky riffs to deviate from our traditionally melodic sound.

We’ll like this song if we like... Mastodon, Karnivool, Cog, Devin Townsend, Porcupine Tree.

Do you play it differently live? We try and keep all of our songs as close as we can to how they are recorded, even in the tones and effects we place on the music.

When and where is your launch/next gig? Our single launch is on 21 Nov at Amplifier Bar.
