Have you been to the previous Shir Madness Jewish Musical Festivals? How was the experience? Or if you haven't gone, what are you expecting? Yes. It's a great festival with a lovely community vibe and a high calibre of performers. I'm expecting a great vibe once again and of course great music.

The Song Of Songs get artists to perform a song by their favourite Jewish composer. Which Jewish composer has most affected you? I think Leonard Cohen captures so much of the human experience in his songwriting and is certainly a lyricist I'm inspired by.

As the only large scale Jewish Music Festival in Australasia, what is Shir Madness' effect on the community? Shir Madness brings the community together in a celebration of music and diversity. It makes everyone feel welcome.

Does being a Jewish Music Festival make Shir Madness particularly different to other music festivals? I don't think it's drastically different from other music festivals as the festival is curated to include a broad range of flavours.

Does anything Jewish particularly influence your music? Having a Jewish identity has been of some significance but I have also taken influences from many other cultures, so it's hard to say.

When is your set at Shir Madness? 8.10pm.
