Off the back of the success of 2017's inaugural event, NYE In The Park is back and bigger than ever with a stellar lineup of local and Aussie legends. Returning to its home in the heart of Sydney, Victoria Park, the festival last year brought something unique and fresh to the table.

After attending the festival last year, it's so quickly evident that bringing in the New Year in a space away from the huge hustle and bustle from around the harbour is something that's quite sorely missed here in Sydney, and it's great to see this local festival doing their bit to bring the excitement to other parts of the city.

With a lineup like this, there's no doubt that they're set to do it all again this year, and boy have they booked a big one. We've put together a list of some of the acts we're super keen to see at NYE In The Park this year, and why you should be too.

THE PRESETS

If you've seen Sydney duo The Presets play live anytime over the last year, you know exactly why they're on this list. Taking their new record Hi Viz to stages across the country in 2018, including a mind-melting set at Splendour In The Grass, the boys have taken immense strides to add a totally new dimension to their live set, even going so far as recreating new versions of their older tracks to suit the current style of sound they're exploring. Whether you're singing along to the brooding, spoken-word stirrings of 'This Boys In Love' or headbanging to 'Downtown Shutdown', there's something for every new and old Presets fan alike in their performance.

THANDI PHOENIX

She teamed up with Rudimental for a massive number titled 'My Way', and since then, she's made 2018 hers for the taking. After celebrating her track hitting over two million streams, belting out a huge guest appearance during MUTO's set at Splendour In The Grass and delivering some absolutely memorable moments at the likes of Snowtunes and our twelfth birthday at The Lansdowne Hotel back in June, there's no doubt that Thandi's sound, bubbling over with personality, will bring a totally new dimension to the festival.

CXLOE

Arguably one of the most exciting breakout pop artists of 2018 is Sydney's CXLOE. In between traveling to LA to write and record new music, she teamed up with her good pal Kota Banks to perform at Spotify's first live playlist event, Front Left, released an emotional banger in the form of 'Show You' which has at the time of writing amassed over 3 million streams and it's just been announced that she'll be supporting Maroon 5 around the country for a massive stadium tour. She'll be taking her thrilling live show to NYE In The Park, so be sure to catch her.

THE MEETING TREE

Yes it is true. The Redfern boys in Raph Lauren and Joyride will be recombining forces at NYE In The Park. They formed a couple of years back after a national tour as part of the One Day crew, put out some tunes, and said a very sombre RIP almost two years ago. But the poster does not lie, and they're set to return undoubtedly with some of our favourite tunes of theirs in tow.

SIDEBOOB

Local selectors SIDEBOOB have been bringing some of the hottest techno to clubs all across Sydney for some time now, and they're set to do it all again this New Years Eve. With their Sunday Service parties at Sweethearts Rooftop in Potts Point delivering some of the best electronic sounds Sydney has to offer every Sunday, and a regular radio show with VRradio under their belts, there's no doubt that they'll be bringing both the heat and the party.

TASKER

He plays in just about every local band under the sun, works closely with some incredibly talented up and coming acts (hello Muki), heads up rowdy act Pleasure Coma and somehow in his spare time, finds moments to write his own music and dabble in the world of DJing. TASKER is undoubtedly one of Sydney's best, most passionate and most knowledgable when it comes to the dancefloor, which is why his set at NYE In The Park will be one to look forward to.
