More The Hard Aches More The Hard Aches

South Australian duo The Hard Aches are about to embark on a massive national tour with good mates The Bennies but, before they hit the road for the impending run of rambunctiousness, the band are unveiling the clip for brand new single Loser, proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today!

The single marks a new chapter for the outfit following the release of their debut full-length, Pheromones, in July this year through venerated Adelaide punk label Anchorhead, which itself followed on from a split EP with Melbourne Poison City Records recruits Foxtrot. Loser made its radio premiere on triple j's breakfast show with Matt & Alex this week, and the clip follows probably the world's worst policeman (or possibly police-themed stripper; can't really rule it out, honestly, especially given the shorts), who makes his way from his sleeping arrangements in the middle of a golf course to wreak havoc on unsuspecting bystanders as they try to do everyday things like play pool in a pub, smoke a cigarette or ride a bike. Check it out above.

The Hard Aches have garnered an impressive reputation for their no-holds-barred, revelry-filled live shows, having cut their teeth on festival stages at events such as the Big Day Out as well as in support roles for punk icons and contemporaries such as Dropkick Murphys, Frank Turner, The Smith Street Band, Frenzal Rhomb, Bad//Dreems, Grenadiers and Luca Brasi.

You can catch the band on the road with The Bennies from 11 November, at Hobart's Brisbane Hotel (with Grim Rhythm and Uncle Geezer), with the tour also including performances in Launceston, Perth, Bunbury, Warrnambool, Adelaide, Ballarat, Geelong, Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Toowoomba and Bendigo, where they wrap up at Music Man on Tuesday 1 December alongside a "huge" secret line-up. Colour us intrigued.
