Charming indie-pop to warm the soul..
Soft Corporate are a four-piece out of Melbourne crafting some lovely, anthemic indie-pop. The quartet, formerly When We Were Small, initially made their mark in triple j's Unearthed High when they made it through to the finals of the prestigious competition. If you vibe on Band Of Horses, Death Cab and The Shins, then Soft Corporate's new EP Good Things Will Happen is sure to tickle you in all the right places. If like us you're waking up in sub-zero temperatures at the moment and struggling to drag yourself from bed, Soft Corporate's bright keys and guitar work, intricate drum patterns and warm vocals can be the perfect remedy to make you feel like yourself again on these bitter cold mornings. Frontman Troy Sheehan's mature and insightful lyrics also come to to the fore on this EP, centring on deep reflections and moments of clarity. Good Things Will Happen was recorded with Colin Leadbetter (Sarah Blasko, Whitley) late last year and will be released independently this Friday, July 15.
They also launch the EP with a live show Saturday 6 August at The Toff In Town, details HERE.
