The winner of this year's joint Hilltop Hoods/APRA AMCOS initiative, Sarah Connor, is wasting no time in capitalising on her newfound momentum, currently spending her time squirrelled away hard at work on her impending debut full-length.
However, before that release sees the light of day, Connor has very kindly given The Music an exclusive preview of her new video No Fear, and we're stoked to be premiering the clip on the site today! The track — produced by Jaytee Hazard and mixed by Simon Cohen at Studios 301 — is taken from the forthcoming album and provides an early taste of what we can expect from the up-and-coming hip hop luminary on record. For the clip, Connor employs a muted monochromatic colour scheme over a series of candid narrative shots interspliced with footage of her physical, poetic style of performance.
No Fear, the clip, stars Aliah Barosso as young Connor and was directed by Vedrana Music, with editing from Simon Greenfield and cinematography from Audrey Svoboda. Connor served as her own producer for the video.
If you dig what you hear (why wouldn't you?), you'll be pleased to know that the rising rapper will be performing next on 28 November at Outlawz, at MIIND Nightclub, in Sydney, popping up again on 19 December at Newtown Social Club in support of Akala.
