PREMIERE: Mezko - 'They Like. We Like.'

More Mezko Mezko

With an exclusive premiere on TheMusic.com.au today, Sydney duo Mezko are back with a new release They Like. We Like. and news of a new EP, SYZYGYout next month.

Exploring the duality of hedonistic purity, the track is a love letter to the Roland 303 and in their words, "an in-the-moment electro trash song, a stupid and excited nonsensical banger".

Following in the ethos of the song, the release is paired with a DIY video inspired by the 1977 Italian candy-coloured horror film Suspiria.

Speaking about the inspiration the duo said, "we both love the aesthetic and absurdity of this film and have always wanted to make something with that spirit”.

“To capture its B-grade execution and lack of coherent plot we appointed ourselves directors. This video is about things that don’t make sense and neon paint."

With a collision of futurist pop and electronica, the EP and its explosion of sounds is due out 27 July. In the meantime, check out the video above!
