Rapper Marksman Lloyd has been brewing up some storms in the past year and has just come off the back of a sold out single tour for Seven Laps, which was released into the world in late July. The Perth-bred rapper has been itching to release his new music video for the single and theMusic.com.au are stoked to be able to premiere Seven Laps today.

Directed and edited by Steve Browne and filmed by David Vincent Smith in what is nearly a one-take shot, edited with some footage from the live set that night, the clip features Lloyd walking the block of where he’s playing at night, stopping at a restaurant to chat to a woman, stopping in an alley to bust some moves and then finishing up at a packed out pub show.

The track has Lloyd delve into a darker side of his life, tackling mental health head-on and expressing struggles of addiction with something that he knows best, music.

The video drops in the lead up to his upcoming EP Portals, set for release this spring.
