Perth artist Lucy Peach is charging forward ahead of the release of her sophomore EP and is today dropping the second single from the work, Bomb, which is premiering right here on theMusic.com.au.
Recorded by renowned producer Joel Quartermain at Wasteland studios, Peach is also accompanied on the cracking new song by Lee Jones (Eskimo Joe, Ruby Boots).
"I wrote Bomb at a time when I was moving through a thick swamp of sadness and achiness that I was up my mouth in," Peach says of the new track.
"Feeling good again seemed so impossibly far away; the big picture was just. Too. Big. I stopped worrying just how and when and decided that all I could do was inch towards whatever made me feel good. Every day, just little tiny things.

"I tried to choose what felt the best, sometimes it was phoning a friend, or not answering the phone, eating in the bath with my little boy, or the way I spoke to myself, the music I played, the colour I painted the front door (lemon yellow it was), literally patting myself on the arm and allowing myself to crumble, bright red lipstick and flowers and whiskey in winter and the sun on my face.
"Guess what? After a long while, it all added up and I found myself strong, whole and fierce again. Bomb is my victory song."
The new track comes on the eve of a string of intimate tour dates around the country with Eskimo Joe frontman Kav Temperley.
