It's all happening for Melburnian indie-dream-pop upstart Fluir at the moment; fresh in the wake of her new single I've Gotta Have You and its eagerly received predecessor, Destination, she's now just a few days away from releasing her debut EP, The Way.
Proudly premiered by The Music today, the seven-track release is a prodigiously assured affair, the young chanteuse delving into ethereal, electronic soundscapes and dynamic trajectories with an ease and effectiveness that usually defy acts still at the "inaugural release" stage.
People are noticing, too — Fluir recently grabbed #9 on the overall triple j Unearthed charts, and even earned an entry on Spotify's recent Aus/NZ indie-pop playlist — and it won't take you even a full song into The Way to completely understand why.
Fluir will be launching her new EP at home in Melbourne on Thursday 10 March, when she hits the stage at Shebeen with support from special guests Evangeline, John Lingard and Tim O'Shea.
