PREMIERE: Cat Canteri - Haven't Been Alive

More Cat Canteri Cat Canteri

Melburnian multi-instrumentalist Cat Canteri has been enjoying solid momentum in the wake of the release of her debut album, When We Were Young, in September last year, and now the venerated singer-songwriter and founder of The Stillsons is set to keep that energy going with the release of new clip Haven't Been Alive.

Released via Mountain King Music and MGM, Haven't Been Alive follows previous single See My Bones, once again delivering a healthy dose of Canteri's distinct, sultry vocals, all silken edges and breathy undertones while the assured guitar work of fellow Stillsons member Justin Bernasconi keeps everything moving forward (and, frequently, ever higher towards tangibly soaring).

Canteri will celebrate the release of the new single with a handful of tour dates in the very near future — she'll take to Gasometer, Melbourne, on Sunday, 19 April, for a double single launch with Brooke Russell & The mean Reds, featuring special guest Emily South; The Boite, World Music Cafe, in Fitzroy, on Saturday, 9 May; at a venue TBA in Canberra (she was scheduled to perform at the now-closed Smith's Alternative Bookshop) with special guest Justin Bernasconi; The Stag & Hunter, in Newcastle, on Saturday, 30 May; and Shady Pines Saloon, in Sydney, on Sunday, 31 May. For those two shows, she'll be performing three sets apiece, so get on down early to catch as much as you can.
