Gelato giants Messina are going Taiwanese with this month's Messina Eats event, partnering up with Melbourne's Wonderbao between Friday 29 and Saturday 30 July at their Rosebery HQ in Sydney.
Lunch and dinner consists of Wonderbao's signature handmade bao pastry and traditional BBQ pork, fried chicken and fried tofu buns. There's also veggie buns, potato gems with kimchi, spam and melted cheese, plus desert from Messina in the form of deep fried ice cream balls with 'dan ta' (egg custard tart with flaky pastry) gelato on a bed of mango pudding and passionfruit caramel. Wash it all down with P.S. Soda's handmade natural sodas and Mark Crotti's smooth-as tunes.
