Tove LoSwedish singer Tove Lo has been climbing up the US charts of late with her monster pop jam Talking Body, a follow up to her breakout hit Habits (Stay High), the track that put her on everybody’s radar last year. She's kind of like a cross between Lykke Li and Charlie XCX. Tove recently finished a stint opening for Katy Perry’s Prismatic tour in Australia, and now comes another brush for Tove with the land down under, via a remix from Melbourne’s lord of the left-field, Air Max ’97.
Air Max ’97 strips Toves’ slinky chorus to its bare bones, punctuating the honeyed, R & B-style lyrics “Now if we’re talking body? You’ve got a perfect one, now put it on me,” with a host of rattling, rolling percussion. It’s a great edit: Air Max ’97 brings impact, drive and interesting colours to the otherwise straight-laced track.
