Why should punters visit you? We have live music Tuesday to Sunday, ranging from alt-folk to blues to New Orleans stomp. We serve local craft beers, boutique wines, fine spirits and unique cocktails. Then there's Chef Don's delicious food menu!
What's the best thing about the venue? The atmosphere. People say visiting Gasoline Pony is like hanging out at a friend's place. There are great spaces out front, inside and in our huge courtyard, plus disabled access, so there's somewhere for everyone.
What is your venue doing to help the local music scene? We strongly emphasise local musicians, and work hard to ensure our customers understand performers should be paid every time. We foster grassroots music via open mic, a community choir, sea shanty club and youth music sessions.
What have been some of the highlights at the venue? Our 'Get Folked' mini folk festival in May had two stages running all day, beer from locals Merchant Brewing and coffee/food from neighbouring Archie & Kirk. And we had Morris dancers on the front footpath!
What are the plans for the venue in the future? We're keen to continue hosting special events, like mini-festivals, tasting evenings and community events. We're changing things up inside to expand the dancefloor!
