Frontman Realises He’s ‘Not That Great’ At Acting

Frontman shocked to realise he’s not that great at acting.

Carl Johnson, frontman with indie rock four-piece The Up-Your-Jumpers, has come to the disappointing realisation that he can't really act this afternoon after looking awkward and unconvincing in a video clip.

The band, from regional Victoria, had intended to thread a dark theme through the video for their track Hospitals For The Healthy but the situation became tense when it was evident that Johnson was struggling with his role as the video's 'sombre but composed' lead character.

An extra on the set told SPA Confidential today that, “He sort of waltzed up to the day, pretty confident like, but he was pretty shit, really.”

Band members reportedly exchanged nervous glances between each other as Johnson repeatedly forgot where to stand in shots and kept looking directly down the camera.

“It was a bit of a train wreck,” the extra said. “He kept trying to over-act it all and prance around like a twat. It was like watching Ian Thorpe trying to sell office equipment.”

After five frustrating hours the band members had an intervention with Johnson, and forced him to agree to bring in someone else for his role.

He reportedly told his girlfriend, who is now second-guessing her choice in boyfriend, that he was “shattered” by his inability to act and felt that he would find it, “really hard to continue in a band that wasn't adequately developing my post-debut album acting career.”
