Nocturnal is returning to Melbourne this March! The Melbourne Museum and the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival are coming together on Friday, March 1 to launch Fashion Redux, a brand spankin' new collaborative fashion exhibition.
They've enlisted the help of The Avalanches for a DJ set, Kaiit, Chunky Move, bebé and Chela to launch this one, all very fashionable artists in their own right.
Multi-disciplinary musician and filmmaker Chela has been working hard on creating basically since she was a child. Her solo project was launched by French label and fashion house Kitsuné, and since then she's gone on to become an incredibly memorable creative.

Because she's so well versed in the world of fashion, we asked Chela to put together a list of some of her favourite fashion moments in music videos. From the Jacksons, to Prince, her picks are historically iconic. Take a look below!
Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson - Scream
Where there's a lack of colour there is TEXTURE. The wet-look hair, metallics, PVC pants and popcorn shirts come alive with that signature Jackson movement. The whole concept is so relevant today, maybe even moreso. The 3D graphics were also beyond their time. I was obsessed with this as a 90's child and channel it everytime I wear my metallic Dr. Martens.
Solange - Cranes In The Sky
Sweet, tasteful, sensual, pastel, goddess material. Like a moving painting, the whole thing. Solange set a standard for high-fashion merged with DIY merged with music like no other, and we have seen many videos influenced by it since.
Björk - Blissing Me
The master herself. This video is so simple yet so intoxicating and compelling. Big ups to the genius of embroidery extraordinaire James Merry who has contributed greatly to Björk's incredibly whimsical aesthetic for many years, and who adorned her braids in this video. The collaboration between these two will surely go down as one of the greatest moments in fashion X music history.
Prince - Kiss
This video is so horny it's embarrassing, and that's what makes it so damn great. Prince's ripped body makes me sad, yet I never want to look away from it in that midriff top and high heel boots. I love the guitarist because she is such a relaxed boss, and in my dreams she is also a power dyke. Spesh mention to the babe in the sunglasses and undies under a sheath of diamante-studded mesh number. And the hot to cold lighting/production design! Ugh I could go on forever.
Christina Aguilera - Come On Over
Our Xtina made trashy look so appealing when we were young and it was responsible for a lot of questionable moments, but that's okay. We can forgive a queen who bejazzles her belly and smiles cute like it ain't no thing. Also, those blue plaid pants were the momentous beginning of my love of tartan.
