What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? Hopefully more women, LGBTQ+, and marginalised people are given the opportunity and respect to thrive in the music industry.
In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? I guess a pretty key moment was coming to Sydney six years ago and meeting other musicians who were playing gigs and putting out their songs. I saw them and thought maybe I should give it a go. It's just been a gradual learning experience from there.
What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? How to stay true to yourself and stand up for yourself in the music industry.
What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? Gender equality and diversity.
What is the best bit of advice you've been given to prepare for your time at BIGSOUND? Have fun with it and don't have any expectations.
