'The LP unfolds into 40-minutes of sprawling prog-tinged guitar rock.'
Melbourne psych-rockers The Electric Guitars are bringing their second album Sideways Changeling into the world, which is premiering exclusively today on TheMusic.com.au.
Lulled into a false sense of security by the opening instrumental title track, the LP then unfolds into 40 minutes of sprawling prog-tinged guitar rock that tears through topics ranging from ultimate doom to regularultimate doom to regular, garden-variety nihilism.
The album was recorded in a disused Depression-era printing facility in Melbourne with the band keeping true to their DIY spirit by releasing it on their own label, Volume Creep.
Sideways Changeling is slated for release 19 March with the band launching the new cut with a gig at Woody’s in Melbourne on 25 May; for more information, head to theGuide.
