Album title? Chinchilla
Where did the title of your new album come from? I was accidentally listed on a chinchilla breeders website and was getting all these random requests for different cubs. The title track encapsulates this and other crazy things that have happened in my life.
How long did it take to write/record? I was in the studio for a solid week but most of the work was in pre-production, with some ideas conceived and samples recorded over 10 years ago.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? Definitely the relationship with my partner Amanda and the excitement of having our first child. Before that I wrote during times of melancholy or in collaboration with friends.
What's your favourite song on it? Everything More. It carries a strong mental health message, which I feel is important in this day and age.
Will you do anything differently next time? I loved every moment creating this album. The people I worked with were amazing. There's nothing I would have done differently.
