Five minutes with Moshe Rosenzveig.
What is your first memory of photography? I became fascinated with light and images when I was about eight years old. It was through a very old large camera with a bellows that I found at my grandfather's place and I used it to take pictures of everything around me.
If you could photograph a celebrity, who would it be? I am interested in people rather than celebrities; we all have a story to tell which is relevant to others.
If you weren't involved with the arts, what would you be doing? I cannot think of any other activity; I love photography and through my work as a photographer I have had amazing insights to events and people's lives which have enriched my life immensely.
What are you most looking forward to at Head On Photo Festival? I love the energy that the festival generates; everyone is a photographer these days and we all create and enjoy amazing images. I get immense amount of pleasure seeing the outstanding work by unknown talent exhibited alongside work by well-known local photographers and overseas guest artists that we invite to the festival.
What is the best thing about photography? It captures a moment, a mood and creates a memory. It is also an exciting blend of art, science and technology with a rich history and tradition yet also shifts and evolves as technology changes.
