Giddy Up! Jerry Seinfeld Is Bringing His Stand-Up Act Down Under In 2024

In what's shaping up to be a real-life Festivus miracle, Jerry Seinfeld — the man who's made a career out of nothing — is set to return to Australia and New Zealand with his stand-up show in June 2024.

Fans are already buzzing with excitement, ready to welcome the comedy legend who last left Australian arenas in stitches back in 2017.

Seinfeld, the master of observational comedy, is expected to have audiences doubled over with laughter as he delivers his unique brand of humour across seven cities. The tour is a much-anticipated follow-up to his previous visit, which saw tickets vanish faster than Kramer can slide into Jerry's apartment.

The 2024 tour will kick off in Perth and make its way through Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Melbourne, with the latter city being graced with two performances.

And despite once dubbing Melbourne the "anus of the world," it seems Seinfeld has either warmed up to the city or is bravely returning to the scene of the crime.

Across the ditch, Seinfeld will make his comedic debut in Christchurch and return to Auckland, where he first performed in New Zealand in 2017. It's a chance for Kiwi fans to catch the comedy icon live, a treat that's been a long time in the making.

"I can't wait to bring the laughs Down Under once again," Seinfeld said about his trip Down Under.

The comedian’s career, which took off after a 1981 appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, has spanned decades and includes the iconic sitcom Seinfeld, co-created with Larry David. The show, often hailed as the greatest television series of all time, has left an indelible mark on pop culture.

While details of his new material are under wraps, fans can rest assured that Seinfeld's sharp wit hasn't dulled. And no, we don't anticipate he'll be donning the infamous puffy shirt for his performances.
