Live Performance Australia claimed that the initiative has “transformational potential”.

Eric Lassen, CEO of Live Performance Australia, said that the budget proposals seek to “strengthen existing foundations” introduced by the federal government.

"While the overall results paint a positive story, growth was concentrated in a limited number of categories and states," says LPA Chief Executive Eric Lassen.

"Australia is home to some of the world’s best creative talent and arts and business leaders, and I’m keen to work alongside them."

In 2023, over 30.1 million ticketed attendances generated $3.1 billion in revenue—and that’s despite rising costs, including ticket prices.
