Last chance to see the guys play on home soil this year
A very fresh, urban take on the indie pop tune.
When proceedings wind down with final encore Coming Around, there’s an air of unabashed triumph. Uplifting – and infectious.
"It’s kind of telling a story or working through that experience of beating yourself up and then finding a way to work through it all."
Their buzzy, fuzzy New Pornographers-inspired sound was everything the hipster-heavy crowd could have dreamed of tonight.
Dean McGrath won’t say if he’ll ever release the material though.
“Once the whole album stuff’s done, I’m sort of personally still writing some stuff. But it’s not necessarily Hungry Kids Of Hungary songs. It’s a little personal pet project of mine."
