Escape the Fate is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004. Originally from Pahrump, Nevada, the group currently consists of lead vocalist Craig Mabbitt, guitarists Matti Hoffman and TJ Bell, bassist Erik Jensen and drummer Robert Ortiz. Ortiz is the only founding member remaining in the band.

Sin City's very own Escape The Fate have evolved from humble post-hardcore beginnings to mainstream friendly rock, and now to a more metal influenced sound with latest album, 'Ungrateful'. The band is bringing back their catalogue to Soundwave 2015. Killyourstereo.com chatted with drummer and only original member, Robert Ortiz, about again being a part of the national touring festival.
The title track is the most stripped down and effective, with simple, powerful guitars, tight, assaulting drumming and throat-tearing vocals. But in the end, these are too few short moments of relief almost buried within the white noise of artificiality.
