Here's Your First Look At Upcoming Elton John Biopic 'Rocketman'

It was just a few months back that the Rocketman release date was confirmed and now we have the first look at the Elton John biopic! 

Written by Billy Elliott screenwriter Lee Hall, Rocketman will follow John's life from his emergence as a musical prodigy at London's Royal Academy of Music to launching his career as a pop music superstar while also focusing on his partnership with songwriting collaborator Bernie Taupin.

Today, the studio have released the image below of UK actor Taron Egerton (Kingsman) as John. 

The film will be directed by Dexter Fletcher, who has just finished the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, which is due out on 1 November this year. 

Egerton will be star alongside Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Gemma Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard in the film, which is slated for release in May next year.

John is currently working his way around the world as part of his farewell tour.
