Following the success of MTV Unplugged with Sydney's Gang Of Youths, MTV have announced they'll be bringing back their TRL Australia (Total Request Live) program, according to a report from TV Tonight.
"We want to create a place where music, celebrity, pop culture and superstar content creators collide, and TRL Australia can do that by having something fresh and exciting everywhere fans seek out entertainment," said Vice President and Head of MTV Asia Pacific, Simon Bates.
"After the successful launch of MTV Unplugged in Melbourne last month, it’s obvious there is an appetite for more live music franchises to showcase Australian artists and connect them with their fans."

TRL Australia has been off-air since 2006 following a two-year stint with hosts including Maz Compton, Jason Dundas and Kyle Sandilands. The US version of the show was brought back last year after a nine year hiatus.
MTV are yet to announce an air-date for the show but are set to share more information following this week's VidCon Australia summit.
