Hey there The Seekers...

While Married At First Sight finale might have topped the ratings last night, a huge portion of the country tuned in to ABC to watch The Seekers on Australian Story, so much so that it bumped reality cooking show My Kitchen Rules down to third place.

According to TV Tonight, the ABC show, titled The Seekers: A World Of Their Own, pulled in 715,000 viewers to come in second in its time slot while Seven's My Kitchen Rules brought in a total of 710,000 viewers.

Taking the world by storm in the '60s, The Seekers were the first Australian band to make it internationally, paving the way for others to follow. Over 50 years since their initial split, on the back of a record deal to release material including their final tour, last night's episode of Australian Story was the band's first TV documentary.

The show looked back at the rise of the much-loved Australian group and at the time of conducting the interview it was the first time in three years that all four band members - Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley - had been in the same room.
