The first of many!
Just days ago, we shared that Foxtel music channel [V] will be showcasing new and emerging music acts to a national audience with the launch of new weekend slot, UNCO[V]ERED.
The Music revealed that the segment, launching this Saturday (6 October) at midday, will screen a new music video from an undiscovered artist and give it high rotation on [V] throughout the week.
Today comes the announcement that Graace will be the first artist to appear on the program.
The 21-year-old has recently signed to Sony Music Australia and is set to release her debut EP Self Sabotage on 26 October.
Speaking to The Music, Group General Manager of Foxtel’s Entertainment & Music channels, Fraser Stark, said the idea for UNCO[V]ERED came following all-time high audience numbers.

"Much was made a few years ago when Foxtel closed down Channel [V] and transitioned to [V] Hits. Over the last couple of years, that strategy has paid off," Stark said.
"Two financial years ago we added 19% of audience and then last financial year, a further 6%. The audience on the music channels, including [V] are at an all time high. We've never had as big an audience or bigger share of subscription audience ever."
Stark describes UNCO[V]ERED as "a means for new and emerging artists to get high rotation on [V]".
"It's a way of keeping us engaged with the record industry and being a part of that virtuous cycle of cutting new talent," Stark continued.
"We hear artists like Delta Goodrem and Ed Sheeran and 5 Seconds Of Summer on the record crediting [V] with breaking them back in the day and helping their career along in its early stages.
"Our hope is by doing this kind of thing down the track, we'll also be proud of contributing to the future success of someone new."
